Tom Hanks on Harvey Weinstein: “Just because you’re rich and famous and powerful doesn’t mean you aren’t in some ways a big fat ass. Excuse me, take away ‘fat.’ But I’m not, you know, I’m not the first person to say Harvey’s a bit of an ass.” @nytimesdowd spoke with @tomhanks as the actor known for his American hero roles begins a tour for his wide-eyed book of fictional short stories. Their conversation ranged from the book, “Uncommon Type,” to the actor’s love of typewriters and, of course, Harvey Weinstein. “What does Mr. Nice say have to say about Mr. Sleazy?” @nytimesdowd writes. “I’ve never worked with Harvey,” @tomhanks said, after a long pause. “But, aah, it all just sort of fits, doesn’t it?” @jokemichaels photographed #TomHanks in his office in Santa Monica, California. Love Tom Hanks. But really? Weinstein was tolerated and revered. Now it’s popular to scream fowl. How about stepping up when it could cost you something??? Like being black listed from the cocktail circuit, you know something truly punitive! LOL
Just the best guy. Loves his wife, decent, the star of this and past generations. Another Jimmy Stewart who I knew and was so regular, loved his wife, the kind of person who came over for dinner of BBQ ate hot dogs and was totally normal and like the average person, his wife too.
