Ready to maximize your muscle growth? Increase your time under tension and reap the muscle-building rewards!
In the wake of several small injuries that have kept me from training as heavy as I normally like, I've begun to lift a little lighter and increase my time under tension (TUT) to keep building muscle. If you believe in lifting heavy all the time, you might be surprised to learn that this technique hasn't decreased my mass at all. In fact, it's brought me incredible results!
Don't take my word for it, though. If you've been training a specific way for a long time, mix it up and try lifting for increased time under tension yourself! --------------------------------------------
Need help? Sign up with me. I'll explain everything you need to understand time under tension, how to employ it, and how you can increase it during your workouts to maximize your results. RiotRhett.com
Missing the good ol' days when I used to high jump and compete😩 I'm such a competitive person and have learned to be dedicated to goals that I set for myself. To visualize the accomplishment of said goals. To do what is necessary to carry them out. Make sure to set small goals for yourself that build up on each other so that you can accomplish your bigger ones over time😁 you got this!! #highjump#iam1stphorm#legionofboom#dedication
Protein powder, pre-workouts, BCAAs and fat burners are notorious for having harmful ingredients in them. Not only that, the combination of certain ingredients can really harm your metabolism, thyroid and hormones. If you'd like a list of ingredients to look out for when purchasing supplements, hit the blue "Email" button above this photo and I'll email the list right over to you. I'd love to hear how your supplements stack up!
My main man Mark didn't have daycare today. So that means some extra quality time with him at the @thedallasarboretum!! He loved it!

If you want something, work your ass off to get it.
I told myself when I saw the emerald cup this year, I want to compete for bikini and I know I still have a long way to go but this is a great start to my journey. I have a goal, an phenomenal support system, kick ass girls who I train with and @stephmoen00 an amazing coach who pushes me every time I train with her. And who know maybe in the next year I'll compete as for right now, Im happy with my progress. -

Progress doesn't happen overnight. Each of our bodies responds to an approach differently. What you see here is a lot of trial and error, education and WORK! Trust me, it's not all ☀️ and 🌈's.
Many people look at fitness as working out a few times a week. When I say WORK, I'm mostly talking about what it takes the from the time I walk out of the gym to the time I go back the next day!
Everyone is capable of getting to the point they desire, but you have to be willing to sacrifice and commit to the goal. It's not complicated, it just takes time, effort and trust in the slow process.
Stick to a plan and let it work! To be honest if you stop following any plan in life after a couple weeks you are only disappointing yourself. No one else holds the 🔑 to your success! #flexfriday
Life is about balance. For me this week that meant taking a few days off from my 4 am wake up calls to get to work early and have some extra family time in the evening. When I get up at 4 am, that means I go to bed around 8. So my weekday time with my husband is usually very minimal. So it was nice to talk, watch some of our favorite tv shows and just spend some extra quality time together! Back at it tomorrow!

@marksmellybell & @andeegrevesbell came in yesterday to visit @1stphorm HQ...and it was one of the best days Ive had in a long time!
I cant say enough great things about them! We toured 1st Phorm, talked a lot of business, recorded an amazing episode of The MFCEO Project (will be up Tuesday), ate some amazing steak salads...and then....
We did the hardest fucking workout Ive done since probably two a days back in football. FUCK IT WAS HARD.
I got partnered up with @marksmellybell and as you know if you follow him, and you should be following him, is one tough motherfucker physically & mentally. So I knew this was gonna be difficult.
...and I was fucking right.
Toward the end of the workout I started really dragging ass but I finished...I was at my limit...at least I thought I was.
I was laying on the ground dying...after we completed the workout as planned and Mark grabbed me by the arm and looked at me and said "Lets fucking go...one more round" and forced me through one more training cycle above and beyond what we planned.
It sucked. Bad.
...but thats the difference.
Thats the difference between average and excellence in any area of life.
Its a mentality.
Its what you are willing to do when you would rather fucking die than take one more ounce of pain.
...and thats the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people...because sometimes...no matter how mentally tough you are...you are going to have days where you dont feel like paying "the extra" dues required to become excellent.
...and thats when you need that voice in your ear "Lets fucking go...one more round".
Thank you brother for helping me find that extra gear. It means more than you know!
I appreciate you brother: TOTAL RESPECT!
Make sure you go check out my boy @marksmellybell and follow him and tune in Tuesday which was definitely my absolute favorite to record! Tremendous athlete, coach, entrepreneur & human!

Who would of thought that this day would have ever came a few years ago. For those who have been following me for along time, you know I've been chasing this dream for years now. Dreams happen with action. Never lose sight of your vision and never let someone make you believe that you cannot make it come true. But like always, it's grind time! 💯✊🏽😤

I've learned that losing weight is easy it's the keeping it off part that's hard for me. Been at this for almost 3 years(Sept 9th) and still not at my lowest weight. But out of the 3 years on my journey this year is the best one yet. Nooo, I didn't lose a ton of weight like I did my first year...I just happened to make a ton of mistakes, gained my weight back upto 340 lbs, lost it again all in just this year and for that I'm grateful. I'm never discouraged when I have a slip up I just take the "L", learn from it and bounce back. I know for me this is a forever thing just got to take each day as it comes. One step at a time right?!?! If I can do this you can toooo #fitfam! Now off to @thestronghouse to kill some shit lol.
