Today is #FreeForAllFriday, the day where I post anything and everything that I think might be interesting. Today's car is the 1973 Jensen Interceptor III that I spotted at the Breakfast at Brooklands with Source Luxury Motor Cars at Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey
The Jensen Interceptor is known as being one of the 'most American' cars to ever come from a British manufacturer. It featured a steel body shell designed by Touring of Italy, and was powered by a 7.2L Chrysler V8 producing 280bhp, and capable of taking it to a top speed of 135mph. The vast majority came with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission, with the manual only being an option in early cars. This particular car is a MK3, which featured revised styling, and alloy wheels and air conditioning as standard.
Come back tomorrow for #SoftTopSaturday ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1935 Bugatti type 57 Atalantic .
The #BugattiType57 and later variants (including the famous Atlantic and Atalante) was an entirely new design created by Jean #Bugatti, son of founder Ettore. Type 57s were built from #1934 through #1940, with a total of 710 examples produced .
Body and chassis
Engine 3,257cc DOHC Inline 8
Type #57s used a twin-cam 3,257cc engine based on that of the #Type49 but heavily modified by #JeanBugatti, unlike the single cam engines of the Type 49 and earlier models. The engines of the Type 50, 51 used bevel gears at the front of the engine to transmit power from the crankshaft, whereas the Type 57 used a train of spur gears at the rear of the engine, with fiber gear wheels on the camshafts to achieve more silence in operation.
There were two basic variants of the Type 57 car:
The original #Type57
The lowered #Type57S/SC
The Type 57 chassis and engine was revived in 1951 as the Bugatti Type 101.
A rediscovered Type 57 sold for 3.4 million euros at auction on 7 February #2009 at a motor show in #Paris .

We wouldn't normally upload this sort of thing but what you just watched happened in our home town of Old Amersham, on a piece of road that the FASTSOCS family use daily. The footage has only just been released by the press.
The driver of the Bentley was reportedly doing 85mph when he hit an innocent pensioner and sent him through a wall of a listed building.
Miraculously both drivers survived!
Unbelievably the 74 year old man climbed out of his Ford Kuga without a scratch.
The Bentley driver has just been sentenced to 14 months in prison (he fled the scene after the accident)
We don't want to preach, but if you own a performance car there's a time and a place to bury your right foot and through a sleepy country town approaching traffic calming measures is neither of those! ✌️ #drivesafe (This will not be staying on our feed, just felt it was our duty to share it)
